The problem
The Canadian cannabis space is choked with marketing fluff and inconsistent reviews. Real users couldn't find an honest, country-wide catalog or a community built around the part people actually talk about — the experience. Health Canada compliance also demanded a watertight age gate that wouldn't tank SEO.
Our approach
We built the whole stack: a kinetic, hand-illustrated brand system; a Next.js 16 marketing site with a server-rendered hero and SEO-safe age gate; a province-aware catalog ingest pipeline that normalizes Health Canada + provincial data into one searchable index; and a social layer (Sparks, Patches, follows) that hangs off a single verb. Shipped on Supabase, Drizzle, and Vercel with row-level security throughout.
